(www.ossiainc.com), the company behind the Cota® remote wireless charging technology, today announced Abid Hussain joins the company as Chief Commercialization Officer (“CCO”), driving the development and execution of the commercialization strategy for Ossia worldwide. Hussain has a 20+ year track record of growing businesses and creating value from technology, with three major financial exits totaling over $1.3B.

Hussain provides the strategic leadership to define Ossia’s commercial path to growth and to drive the profitability of the company. Tasked with the establishment of effective growth processes and infrastructure, Hussain is also further building out Ossia’s sales, marketing, business development, and corporate development infrastructure to drive market adoption of Cota. With a global perspective on market opportunities, Abid is taking the lead on the assessment and prioritization strategy that will enable Ossia to grow and develop collaborative working relationships in pursuit of the of the company’s overall business goals.

Before joining Ossia, Hussain held various business and technical executive roles at Arrayent, Summit Microelectronics, Marvell, National Semiconductor, among others. Hussain and his team created Qualcomm’s QuickCharge fast battery charging technology, deployed globally in the majority of smartphones and tablets. Hussain earned his BSEE, Electrical Engineering, from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and holds 28 U.S. and foreign patents.
